With the kind of fight he had shown tonight, JCC Jr. is not yet ready for the big time. He can't even stop Vanda, a mediocre fighter w/ 7 losses. His dad should stop calling out dela Hoya and stick to his son's fighting tomato cans until he's fit to fight the elite fighters.

He's garbage and always will be garbage. Nothing new here. I have been saying that Arum needs to let Margarito kick his ass soon.

He is 22 for christs sake. He turned pro when he was 17, no amateur background. If not for his name he would just be another mexican fighter building his record. His dad fought 70+ bums before he ever stepped up.

I have no problem with him fighting mediocre fighters. He isnt even fully grown yet by the looks of it and it will probably be another year or 2 before he steps up.

Dont like him dont pay attention to him I say. His dad is talking but he isnt being heralded as the second coming or any crap like that. He doesnt talk **** and he has been pretty humble so far into it.

I feel like you do about this. Sure he's fighting tomato cans, padding the record, and sure he looks green.

What do people expect?? That he's gonna come on the scene all set ready to go, the second coming of his old man??? It's nutty.

You gotta play some minor league ball before ya get called up to the majors!!

Most people are pissed because he's earning PPV bonuses for headlining.

I bet noone would whine if he was working his way up on **** like FSN and what not.

And to think that his fight is main event in PPV, and not Donaire's title defense fight. So please, don't give us these crappy fighters anymore. At 22, he should be mature now to fight the elite fighters. Tyson was 19 when he won heavyweight crown. It's either he has it or he doesn't.

Be easy on him. He's working his way up and we won't know how good he really is until he fights someone with some credibility. IMO, he has the potential and brings it every time he fights. Don't know if he'll be great, but it's cool that we get a chance to watch a legend's son try to live up to dad's legacy.

Most of the hate comes from people angry that he gets all of this attention. Come on, what do you expect? People want to see what he can do and they'll pay to watch. Nothing wrong with that

Jr. did a nice job of boxing tonight.

Earlier in his career he'd have bodied up and just start digging to the body against a fighter like Vanda, in the process, taking a few shots himself and not learning all that much.....

Jr. did what a tall fighter should do tonight, he used his jab well and boxed from a distance, picking an chosing when to mix it.

Vanda was outclassed by Jr., but he's got good staying power. He took some great shots to both the head and body from Jr.

I'm liking the way Jrs. corner is starting to work with his strenghths.
Keeping distance, and a much improving defense.
I believe it was the last round that Chavez Sr. yelled at Jr. and reminded him to keep using his waist movements.

The defense is improving folks.....in one of the late round, Vanda landed a good shot, but instead of Jr. losing his head and trying to immediately retaliate....he started to swivel his hips and ducking under Vanda's combination shots.....Jr. must have made Vanda miss with about 7 ro 8 shots in a row after Vanda's initial hit.

Improvements???? Jr. is improving boxisticallly every fight. The one major area where he's in need of some more experience is pacing himself to fight the full 10 or 12 rounds without gassing himself as he did previously with Vanda.

.....tonight, Jr. was probably held off a tad bit, for fear of the same happening, but he turned it up in the last 2 rounds when he knew the finish was nearing and he still had some in the tank.

Vanda posed Jr. some obstacles in both their meetings, so it means they're bringing him up right and proper......they have'nt put Jr. in over his head, and he's been tested a few times.

....haters can complain all they want, but thats bringing the kid up proper.....it will get a little tougher each time, but Jr. will balance it with the added experience he's adding with each outing.

Haters, stop complaining and dont watch Chavez Jr. if you dont like it.

.....for me personally, I'm enjoying watching the son of a legend grow and mature with each outing......I'm enjoying watching Jr. and so I'll continue to follow his career.

If Jr. is headlining PPV's, its because they're making money, so either you watch, or dont watch, but STFU and dont buy if you dont like it!!!!
