Chavez Jr is tired of fighting tough opponents who carry very little name value

No it doesn't. You obviously don't know anything about GYM. Remember Simms-Alcine?

drozzy is acting as if Lemieux has a record worth mentioning, or a record that stands out next to a guy like Chavez Jr.

"Stands out"? "Worth mentioning"? You're just being a smartass. Pro rated against quality of opposition, I take David's 25 fights over Junior's 40 some. That's all.

Let's bring this one back same time next year, and see a world of difference. :rofl

Jr vs K9 or if Mayorga loses against Cotto, that wouldnt be a bad gauge to where Jr is at eather.

I want to see Jr stay at 154.... hes got no future IMO at 160 or above. 154 he can make interesting if hes able to beat the next stage of guys. These are the fights id like to see from him right now.

And of course, the biggest fight that is reasonable for Chavez right now would be a face off with Canelo..... would love to see that, doubt it happens though.

Gomez tore some ligaments in his left elbow training for Chavez Jr and is on the shelf until March at the earliest. He had to pull out of the Chavez Jr fight for that reason, though Chavez Jr would not have fought him anyway, because he got hit with the flu and had to pull out from the card himself.

And I don't think Jr has the discipline to make 154 lbs, so it's Middleweight or bust for him.

    oh that's right...vs wolak

me personally, i'm sick of the opponents they've been matching him up with....there are other fighters he can beat, that are legit gatekeepers IMO....

how pathetic is it that me, as a huge fan didnt even know he was fighting last weekend until about thursday when i seen a preview....that's weak !!!

surprised k9 doesn't have guys like chavez's team hawking him for that title....seems like an easy win for any top 10 contender IMO...

Atleast we know what level Chavez Jr is at with his fights. Sal Alvarez is fighting old shot fighers above their best weights, but because they have decent name value they are taken as good wins. We don't know where the hell Alvarez is at. He could be Alfonso Gomez level. Anyway, Lemieux-Chavez Jr would be a good fight. I expect Chavez to go after the belt though and Zbik. Freddie said he wants one more tuneup before that.

Duddy is a better win than anyone Lemieux has beaten. Chavez Jr definitely has the better resume as it stands.

    Wow, good shout with K9.

That's free money for Chavez...automatic belt around his waist (a real one, not "Silver"), and a "good name" in the sense that Bundrage has had some exposure.

The scores would be 120-108 across the board for J.C.
