"Neither has shown glimpses of advancing beyond C-level, so what does it matter?" Yes this is probably right.
You basing this off of performance against their common opponent in Vanda? Don't forget Vanda arguably won the first fight.
"You basing this off of performance against their common opponent in Vanda? Don't forget Vanda arguably won the first fight. " Ok, you've got me
What about Ronald Hearns? I think Hearns needs much more experience. It is hard to tell if Ronald Hearns or Chavez Jr. are any good. I know they are not as good as their fathers, but who is? That is why they are well known now. Not because of how good they are , but because of who their father is.
Hearns is easily the best of the three, IMO. Potentially. Duddy has plateaued in terms of ability, Chavez doesn't even want to fight.
Most boxing observers had Chavez winning that first fight but were outraged because one of the judges ridiculously gave him every round..... Chavez himself said he was far from winning every round, but that he was sick prior to the fight and would prove it with a much better performance in the rematch. .......rematch came and Chavez dominated winning just about if not every single round. Right now, I'd classify Chavez at about B level and improving!
