Why do people consider him as a part of the elite.he has zero skill and doesnt even want to be in the ring.his family name assures him success and $$,fair enough,go earn that living bro.why do people think he is good?
How does he not want to be in the ring? He showed great heart in the Martinez fight and almost pulled out the win in the 12th. Her aint elite but hes not that bad either.
He only loses to the 2 best at his weight, he's not a joke just a spoiled kid, but no he doesn't love boxing.
He is not a bad fighter and his physical strength helps him the most. I think Chavez Jr. being rated high at middleweight just shows how bad some of the fighters are nowadays in boxing.
Because he is. Okay, he's had an easy path to world level boxing via his name but I know a lot of people would favour him in a rematch with Martinez. He's not as bad as people make him out.
You obviously didn't get my point. That doesn't mean he is not a good boxer. Am I wrong in saying that you still need to be a good boxer to beat Martinez today?
Stupid Thread. A World Champion with no amateur experience is a joke of a boxer? Shut your ****ing mouth OP.
No one considers him elite, he has C level skills and uses his tremendous size advantage to win fights, once he moves up and fights guys his own size its GAME OVER!!!
^^^ dude did the same thing to lee that vera did. nothing to see there. but he's not a joke. i'm curious who these people are that consider jr elite, however.
I think some of the reason he's so highly rated is because the middleweight division is quite devoid of A-level fighters...its Martinez, and then everyone else below him, just like the heavyweights with the K brothers. I think GGG and Geale are the two best challengers Sergio could face at the moment, but I'd still like to see Chavez fight those two as well as people Sergio has already beaten, like Barker, Macklin and (probably) Murray.
