I'm clearly extending Jr. the benefit of doubt here, but they mentioned during the broadcast that an old trainer from Sr's circle was brought in during this camp to work on technical skills. Instead of going balls to the wall to finish the guy, Jr. was trying to be patient and was looking for accurate shots. That's a skill that if you don't have naturally (see Gamboa), is going to take time to develop.

Combine that with the fact that Loriga actually recuperated from punches VERY well, and the fight dragged some.

I'm laughing at myself for taking this side of the argument, really. I gave up on Jr. after watching him once two years ago. He looked clumsy and gawky as hell then, and I wrote him off immediately. Maybe having not watched him since then is skewing my perception some, but I saw top 15-20 potential out of him the other night.

i dont think estrada or gomez are too much for him right now....i mean, we wanna see the kid tested, right ???

****, even camacho jr (if that slob can make 154) would be a good test...camacho has nice speed and pop...of course he has a mental problem, but i still think it'll be tough.....

i love the respect they showed for each other afterwards....that was amazing to see the sons of 2 legends that have faced each other show so much love towards each other....
