What do you know, I did'nt bother to look at Lyell's record......
Looking at him fight Jr., Lyell definitely looked a much lesser fighter than Duddy, so I took it for granted that he was........that old addage comes to mind, "never judge a book by its cover.

.......but the jest of my original post still stands.
Chavez was void of a jab that was present vs Duddy, and should have been vs Lyell, which Chavez had every physical advantage against.

Its a good thing that at least Chavez is being matched with tough rugged type fighters that are just not going to keel over.
Jr. had been struggling with his conditioning prior to hooking up with Roach......and if Chavez was not in good enough condition vs Lyell, Lyell is definitely the hard working type that could make you pay.

I'm dissapointed however that Chavez is'nt taking advantage to work the skills he should be working on during a real fight.

Chavez is tall, he's fighting a shorter fighter, he should be sticking his jab out to initiate exchanges.
.......not doing so vs the likes of Lyell, can come back to haunt Chavez against better opposition down the road.
