You obviously didn't follow JCC jr career :nono

JCC sr started him @130 & wanted him to win his first belt at 130

JCC jr always gave his dad hard time, eating his way out of 130, but he was getting him primed for a WBC shot @130 at least for a fight or two then move to 135, the Carlos Molina draw @140 convinced JCC sr his son is done with 130, so he put his eyes on the 140 WBC belt & to JCC sr disappointment JCC jr was ranked at Welterweight by 30-0-1

JCC sr sat with Jose Sulaiman & they agreed 147 is it :nod

JCC jr by now was 30-0-0 & annoying his father by fighting at 130, 135, 140 & 147...Not sticking down for a belt at any division.

When JCC jr was on the top of WBC Welterweight ranking, he made a habit of living it large at Light Heavyweight & draining fast for the fights, till that fight where they punished him for using Furosemide, so he kept it real with his dad & explained to him that if he wants him to win a belt its got to be at 160, JCC sr was confused, because JCC jr drained to make 160 for that NC

    Winning the Championship
30-0-0 Zbik entered history by becoming the Champion JCC jr beats to gets his WBC belt.

Career Defining loss vs Sergio Martinez
Big JCC jr showed up big vs Sergio & lost everything, mainly his will to make 160

So it was a long distinguished career from 130-160 :thumbsup

I get all that. But he's still 6'1" and he doesn't even have a small frame.

    The guy is big.

Jr. was never a really talented fighter. He used to fight at 154 and he outgrew that division quickly. After a few fights at 160, he outgrew that too and started to drain himself and used his size to out-muscle smaller fighters.

There are plenty of fighters at 168 who are 6'1". Ward, Jack & DeGale are all around 6'1". The problem with Jr. is that he's spoiled, lazy and entitled. While other fighters train all year round, he trains when he feels like it so he can never keep the weight off.

If he train more often, he can make 168, but he doesn't and it's not because of his size...it's because he lacks dedication.

Wow he looks like he is at least 195 in that video. He is going to just keep having more trouble with weight as he gets older as well.

He didn't look fat at all, let's be honest. But he is at least 190 lbs there.

Is he full time at Garcias? That gym might not be the best place for Jr. That said, I don't know if anyone can get him to buckle down and live spartan, clean, and disciplined.

If Jr. was serious about continueing his career, he'd hire a strenghth and conditioning coach and live by their rules 24/7 and fight at 175 lbs.
At this point it would weaken Jr. to fight at 168 lbs.

Jr. has shown us time and again he doesn't have the discipline of a champion. This video again proves that.

The only bright spot from this clip is that Garcia has him working with leading with the jab which he rarely has used the last couple of years.

He has no choice but to fight at 168. 175 has some murderous punchers that would end Jr's career.

I read today that he wants to fight Jack for his WBC belt in March. Is he totally delusional hoping to make 168 ?
