The rumors have been circulating for the last year that is would happen. However it appears that it is finally happening.

The main issue is that Roach spends more time with the other fighters and Chavez Sr. is overly involved in his sons training.

Jr. gets a taste of favoritism.

It´s probably just Sr being too involved. Jr has shown major improvements under Roach.

He doesn't deserve a HOF trainer anyway, frankly. Nobody getting caught with DUI's a week before their big fights, skipping drug tests and walking around with another man's title, not fighting the best, deserves the treatment he's been getting and everybody knows it. He's a solid fighter but Roach was essentially wasting his time on a medium-level fixer-upper.

I think Jr. has gone as far as he can go with Roach!

Jr. needs a trainer to emphasize the jab and using his height and reach.

If Jr. beats Lee, I would hope Emmanuel Steward would take interest in him as Steward is a trainer that has a history of teaching tall fighters how to fight tall.

He should hire Buddy McGirt for the Maravilla fight, I appreciate a fighter going out in style.

Chavez Sr involved too much, Roach made Great improvements to Jr - in my opinion took him from a fringe contender level to top contender level fighter (-Paper title)

That's a good call, but I remember in the Cotto 24/7 Cotto saying Pedro Diazi's a bit of a bossy big mouth, maybe a bit too mouthy for Sr.

Roach did well with him but no matter who he goes with Sr needs to shut his **** sucker up and let the trainer train.

plenty of good trainers out there.
