    Supposedly the reason that the fight with Andy Lee isn't happening in El Paso is because Jr. is dating the ex wife of the son of Drug Lord "El Chapo" Guzman. Although I'm pretty sure Chapo probably has a good relationship with Chavez Sr. so I don't think Jr. would be in any risk.

    P.S. The girl is average at best and not worth the risk of pissing off the most powerful drug traffickers in the world.

    The UT director is just trying to take the fight to either Dallas or San Antonio, and is just using the "Border Violence" as an excuse. El Paso just had a Championship fight ( Mares vs Morel ) on the same grounds as the Sun Bowl ( Don Haskins Center @ UTEP campus ) with many fan from Juarez, Mexico in attendance. Everything went well, no violence.

    El Paso is always getting screwed out of these events, with Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston usually being favored. The city was lucky to get Oscar De La Hoya in the Sun Bowl though. They we really looking forward to another big boxing event at the Sun Bowl.

    Oh well...

    When it comes to homicides, El Paso is one of the safest "large" cities in the United States.

    They should not move the fight out of El Paso

    if chapo guzman wants chavez jr death jr wouldve been death already and there is nothing chavez senior can do... but i doubt guzman even cares about that ***** he is not going to draw more attention on himself for a stupid *****.. he has the entire mexican government on his pockets if he wouldve order the killing of a famous person like chavez junior that could all change
