Where is Froch or Groves going to make bigger money than an open air re match Summer 14......everybody and their dog want to know the outcome.60/40 split will set up both lads for life......Carl doesn't want to fight anyone else cos they all will think now they have his number......he needs to retire.George and his fat pay check will have many more options. If the Matchroom team can't make into one of the sporting events of the summer!!!!!

For those that think Carl makes more money from his next fight without the opponent being George Groves please explain?

A rematch is massive and probably sets them both up for life. I would understand why Carl wouldn't want to fight George again. He certainly wont make more money fighting anyone else.

Chavez Jr makes the most sense. He'll wade forward and Froch can out box, possibly stop him. Kessler stylistically will be trouble and theres questions as to whether his heart is in it. Groves 2 makes the most sense but boxing doesn't work like that.

Apparently Hearns has already said Groves next fight will be rematch OR world title. He's prepared the get out clause already so he can maintain two big names rather than possibly eliminate one.

folks should boycott any rematch with Groves, lining the pockets of the corrupt powers that be.

Prematurely stopping a fight that was only getting competitive is taking the **** out of fans who will now be milked of their cash to watch it again.

You wouldn't see a whistle in a cup final being blown after 80 minutes and fans being told post match that "lets do it again". Boxing fans need to wise up to this nonsense.

Matchroom were protecting their cut of whatever Froch can make in fights against Chavez, GGG and maybe even Ward again. A Froch loss last night was financial suicide to Matchroom and their cashcow had to win at any cost.

If folks simply forget about this in a few days time and hype Froch's potential "megafights" for them, then its the fans who are the greatest mugs of all.

A fight on USA TV on PPV against Ward makes more but the real money being GGG or Chavez jr.Ward is not a massive draw at PPV buys he is a great fighter IMO....but PPV is about drawing in people that only have a casual interest hence hype makes £ or the big bucks $.

PPV TV both sides of the ocean being the real difference the Groves fight was on AWE in the USA free to air.Groves rematch would do well here obviously but internationally no.:good

I don't really know much about Chavez Jr. Is he top draw over there? I see the interest in GGG but he's not coming up division yet is he? Double G V Triple G could be a big one in future.

I would personally like Froch to retire as a British great, having secured a legacy that puts him in the top 5 British super middles of all time.

I would then love to see Groves Kessler fight for one of the vacant belts at Wembley arena !!

If Froch does not retire, then the Groves fight is morally the correct way to go!

I think Froch should fight Chavez jr tbh. I think George should fight Degale next, it would be a harder fight than the Froch one imo as Degale actually has a defense. The winner of Degale vs Groves rematch should get Froch.

I can't see Carl realistically having more than one fight left in him....he doesn't want Ward.Who is really interested in Chavez.....the rematch will earn them millions and despite the understandable excitement about George's performance is still a 50 50....Carl could retire as World champ. As I have said this would be one of the sporting events of the summer.

Chavez jr is a massive draw there Mexican hard hitting but very beatable & controversial look him up not the cleanest living fighter lol!His Dad was a legend look him up if you havn't watched him.Chavez jr making 168LB would be his greatest hurdle well known for losing on the scales!!

GGG would IMO look at that last night & think he may well give size away naturally but his hands, footwork would baffle Froch speed kills they say!

Yes at their ages at some point should Groves GGG match up would do very well here & HBO would like the fight IMO.

A lot depends on Groves- does he want the rematch right away? Does he want to fight Ward? What happens if he beats Ward? So many imponderables.

If I'm Groves I fight early next year and let Froch do the same against a Chavez Jr, if they both come through their fights and still want it then hold it outdoors probably at Wembley Stadium.

Hearn does seem cagey on whether or not Froch would box on, personally I think he's got a maximum of three fights in him now.

Two more max I think the highest paying fight next with the least resistance (Chavez jr) would certainly fit the bill.

Can't see him fighting again until May 2014 TBH.

No rematch, no credibility whatsoever. Maybe GG was right - Froch's career is all smoke and mirrors. He hasn't picked his opponents, he entered the Super Six and HAD to fight them. Big difference.

I think Groves is ever so slightly over the hill.Thats one of the reasons Groves was beating him.And I think Kessler, who was once a terrific fighter,is even farther past it.Chavez is a very risky fight for him.Groves if he can stay clear of cuts beats him in a return, and James Degale is 50 50 now.I agree with some of the others.Hes a rich man, should retire with his fantastic record almost perfect.
