Martinez needs to fight the black slickster Pirogi first.

Thats provided the little princes has balls.

I dont understand why he does not just fight Martinez. After seeing him lately he would have a decent chance fighting Martinez since Martinez did struggle with a natural MW in Baker. Jr. would have a weight advantage and he is very good at using his size.

I would still obviously bet on Martinez but Jr. chances are getting better everytime I see him.

Aint no way in hell jr. is going to take on Martinez, unless it looks like Martinez age is catching up with him. Until then it will always be some bull**** excuse about how he will fight him next, but there will always be something wrong with the contract so the fight couldn't be made.

Well on the bright side for Martinez, atleast Chavez's profile will continue to grow bigger as he strings together some wins over legit MW contenders. If Chavez-Martinez happens in the winter, could go ppv.

It's hard for me to feel sorry for Martinez, he's mad about Chavez not fighting him, but it's similar to him not wanting to fight Pirog.

As long as people keep financially awarding Jr. and co. for doing this crap, the longer they will keep doing it. I live in SoCal and will not make the trip up to LA for this fight.

I don't see the big problem with this fight, its not like Chavez is head and shoulders better than Murray, this could be a nice competitive fight.

There is talk that Chavez could face Pavlik later this year, but I'm skeptical that happens unless Pavlik is in a complete downward spiral, which I don't think he is at all.

I'm in no hurry to see a Martinez-Chavez fight, thats seems like a one-sided beating coming Chavez's way. I'd much prefer to see both Chavez and Martinez in with guys who will make for competitive fights.
