Since Chavez Jr. is the more popular fighter between the 2, he will have the crowd in his favor, and he’s the guy that brings in big money to boxing. When you factor in,

it puts Martinez in a very tough situation where he may need a knockout if he wants to ensure that he gets his hand raised at the end of the fight.

Chavez Jr. is kind of at the level where he’s hard to beat by a decision and I believe the judges are going to score rounds for him just based on his constant pressure.

Lol,i see chavez's face looking 5x's worse then pavlik and that's just the first 5 rounds, chavez has been backed up by lesser fighters and at times he will have to change his gameplan once martinez starts landing those left hand bombs.Chavez definitely can't fight going backwards or in the middle of the ring with martinez,so his only chance is to keep martinez on the ropes all night, good luck with trying to do that.

It's not gonna be a toe to toe war like many think it will and even on the ropes martinez will use great counter-punching,bottom line is chavez will just be too slow for martinez.

Chavez doesn't get started till about the 5th round and by then martinez will be in his groove,i'm soo happy it's not that far away.

1 - thats sad ; but real boxing fans are on Martinez side ; crowd = casually boxing spectators

2 - I think Martinez is aware about this thing and he looks to finish this fight before the limit.

3 - indeed , the judges will be on Chavit side .

Martinez has to T/K.O Chavit if he wants to win this fight. It will be hard but I think Martinez will stop Chavit in the late rounds. :yep:cool:

I am usually very clear on who i think is going to win a fight, but in this one i just cant call it.

    IMO a true 50/50 fight.

This is a fight that i cant wait for!

Martinez needs a stoppage or a near shutout (10 or 11 rounds) to win, otherwise he's getting robbed. He's an old fighter while Chavez Jr has a lot of years left, who do you think the promoters would be interested in him winning?

Here comes the excuses. Chavez will win a close fight. 7-5 or 8-4 type fight.

I have a feeling this is going to be Calzaghe-Lacy all over again with the overhyped Chavez Jr getting destroyed for as long as the fights lasts.

Martinez isn't a limited fighter like Andy Lee and he is not going to stand in front of Chavez flat footed and go toe to toe with him. He is going to use his speed and movement and precision punching. I don't see how Chavez is going to win a round and if his legs cramp up again like they have in his last few fights he is screwed against Martinez.
