It makes you pee out a load of water. Perhaps he has an arrangement with JMM to provide him with supplements?
He did look kinda weird at the weigh in. The guy cant make 154 anymore and he should forget about making 160 hell get demolished. I think the gig is off, hopefully they dont try and put together anyther phony fury card.
Just curious. . .any1 know how fighters put on like 10-15 pounds after the weigh-in for fight night? I would assume it's via dehydration and I would also assume they use diuretics to achieve this? Any1 know exactly?
Furosamide (lasix) is a diuretic commonly used for patientes with heart failure, pulmonary edema etc-it works by reducing the absorption of electrolytes -decreases the reabsorption of sodium and chloride and increases the excretion of potassium in the distal renal tubule- increases renal excretion of water,Na+,K+,Cl-,Ca+ etc.... it may induce fluid and electrolyte abnormalities,in dehydrated people(like boxers struggling to make weight)can affcet the electrlytes balance and lead to prerenal azotemia, hyponatremia(low na+) its always a concern as well as hypocalcemia and hypokalemia(low K+)-other effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, anemia, leukopenia etc after all the **** i explained above i dont think this drug will improve anybodies performance in the ring but it could be one of the reasons we see often brain damages in low weights divisions, even if here we are talking middle weight-a body who has been exposed to such a massive dehydration cant compensate overnight to enter a fight. i dont know who is handling this kid ,i dont know if his dad knows about this but they are putting him in a verge of a tragedy the day he fights a real banger.
