    Chavez Jr. to retire?
    By Jose Reyes
After Julio Cesar Chavez Jr's controversial split decision win over Matt Vanda on Saturday night, Junior dropped the bombshell that he's considering hanging up hs gloves for good. "The people wanted me to score a knockout but I could not," Chavez Jr. told TV AZTECA. "The people are very, very un-content with the result (this as Julio Sr is being booed when trying to calm down the crowd) and what can I tell you? What can I tell you as a fighter? Everything is just very sad....because of the fight....I don't know what to do. I don't know what I will do. I need to think about it real hard. I am considering retirement."

    The Moment..
Then again who know's for sure bro, but he defo did say them words.
After the heat of this fight calms down a bit then I'd check in with Jr.
right now I'll take a retirement talk with a grain of salt.

But the crowd was **** for doing that. (throwing ****)
100-90 was utter garbage I'll admit but danm!!! have some ****en manner's.

I think it's probably a bit of "boohoo poor me", he'll get over it.

Chavez Sr had a right go at the crowd for disrespecting his son's "superhuman effort" too...but really, it was that 100-90 card that pissed them off so much, not Chavez Jr.

+ The fact that Jr. felt bad the crowd was disprespecting his father on his Birthday of all day's. The spotlight was defo on JCC jr., maybe he didn't like the heat.

I know I'd feel like **** if I let my father down...
and after seeing him get disrespected by a bunch of drunk **** kicker's to boot.

I say they rematch. and take it from there.
    (Tho I had Chavez 96-95)

F that judge that had it 100-90

Well... it seems Jr. is starting to feel the pressure because of his last name. Vs. the D and C- level competition everything was good: supporting crowd chanting Chavez Chavez, good money per fights, TV and PPVs, exciting knockouts, promising career. But now the crowd definitely wants Chavez to step up in comp. and we all know that he'll either lose to a B- level boxer via schooling or lose in an exciting slugfest via knockout. Either way, the crowd will be disappointed... the last name and the father's national hero status will destroy the much less talented son's career. Which is a bit sad, because Chavez Jr. has a very crowd pleasing style, a good offensive arsenal and a big heart like a true Mexican - but lacks in the defensive and boxing department and doesn't seem to improve - not at all in the last 3 years...

Whether the crowd can accept Jr. with 3 or 4 losses in the upcoming years is the real question here. If they can't accept him destroying his father's reputation, Chavez Jr. will be gone after his first loss. Tough situation...

He'll get over it. No way he's retiring right now. A lot of fighters go through this kind of phase early in their careers but then snap out of it and keep on plowing forward.

Holyfield for example admitted he wanted to give up boxing after his first loss to Bowe, and not only did he keep on fighting, but now the ****er just won't quit!

So like I said, it's just a lackluster phase in Jr. career, no doubt he'll keep on fighting.

He is going to take a crack a Mexican Lucha Libre! lol

On a serious note. There is a couple of sayings that could be use in this case, "if you are scare, go buy a pitbull for protection" "if you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen", and he can use either one. When you get knocked down or failed in any way, you stand up brush your shoulders and try again. You dont just QUIT. I can see his frustration but c'mon now JR, you are young and still have your WHOLE career in front of you, so my advice to you is, hold your head up HIGH and come back stronger. There is fans outhere who like you a lot, including myself so **** the haters and do what you do best papa....

Leave the kid alone. He feels disappointed in himself that he couldn't please his father and his fans. I hope he doesn't retire, because he is clearly passionate about winning.

Bingo. There's still gold to be mined in them thar hills. NO WAY will he quit until he gets a big money fight, and then only if he gets utterly destroyed and can't get decent purses anymore.

People forget boxing is a business, and in this case, it's the family business.
