According to Fernando Beltran, former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will return on a date in May against a Top 10 WBC ranked fighter. After that, the plan is to go for the rematch with Sergio Martinez on September.

Isn't he suspended for failing the drug test?

I don't ever remember hearing of a formal punishment.

The hearing was on November but it looks like he got away with it. I don't really care, pot shouldn't be on the banned substance list.

Failing a drug test for Marijuana use does not seem strong enough to keep one of the biggest money makers away.

Chavez makes too much money for everyone to block him because of Marijuana.

I didnt think he would make it back to middleweight, good for him if he does. But if hes doing it at the expense of his health, I wouldnt bother.

Anyways, everyones pushing for a Martinez rematch, but Id still love to see Chavez vs the other guys at 160.

    GGG
    Sturm
    Pirog
    Macklin

just a few guys who would make good fights, and Id rather see then a Martinez rematch.

Chavez still has to face the board regarding his suspension.
They expect that he will get the 8 months penalty which begins the day after the Martinez fight in turn will make him avaliable to fight in May.

Hopefully it's still @MW and we get Chavez Vs. Maklin.

If he quits the weed maybe the munchies will subside and he can stay at middle.

Chavez vs Macklin would be a blast.

Also, no reason GGG vs Chavez shouldnt be made, could you imagine that fight?

So many good fights for Jr, I just hope the good fights actually get made.
