Junior looking sharp training in the Backyard on the Pads.

He is eyeing a big return at 168, he is interested in a rematch vs Canelo or a match vs GGG or Eubanks Jr.

Coming off his impressive performance vs Jacobs, where he was beating Jacobs before the stoppage, he believes he is in the best shape in a long time and deserves some major matches.

I had my doubts about Jr but was very impressed with his performance vs Jacobs before the stoppage.

Chavez is a joke bro. He wasted his talent. All he's interested is the paycheck and nothing else. The way he quit against Jacobs was despicable. The way he fought against Canelo was pathetic.

I was a big fan at one time, but he's let the fans down too many times.

Yeah I'm just not ready to give up on him. I don't just give up on people when something happens. Chavez Jr showed me a hell of a lot vs Jacobs. I get that he came overweight, I get that the stoppage was embarrassing. But the dude had a seriously messed up broken nose, not to mention it was from repeated elbows and headbutts from Jacobs and the ref didn't even warn Jacobs about. Had he continued and Jacobs landed another brutal elbow or headbutt Jr could have had a career or life threatening injury and I cannot blame him deciding to fight another day. We hear all the time about the need to protect fighters from themselves, so we don't have tragedies in boxing. But then when a fighter realizes he's messed up and says he can't continue we call it disgraceful or despicable. You can't have it both ways. Chavez Jr is a warrior his nose was messed up from fouls that weren't called creating a dangerous situation.

Yes Chavez Jr is seen as a disapointment compared to his Dad's legacy, but I'm not one of those people who compare him to his Dad I just look at him as the fighter he is and he's had a lot of success in the sport. I didn't like seeing that video and I have my issues with him but I'm just not ready to give up on him especially seeing him in training looking sharp and motivated to prove people wrong who have given up on him.

you can leave out the rest and have a headline for Mexican sport outlets.
the rest of the world doesn't care though.

The only thing I read was “...training in background...” and I knew what I needed to know. Guy’s a joke and should retire now...

Chavez Jr yet another blaring example of kids of famous people who are totally dysfunctional.

Look at the state of him. He needs to find himself because all I see is a hollow shell heading into oblivion.

I'm sure there was once the makings of a true fighter maybe monster in Jnr, people seem to overlook what he had naturally that he could never fulfill for what ever reason, mostly desire. With no am experience and turning pro at 17, the fella if he took it serious could've been a monster imo
