Im a fan of neither, but looking to bet on JCC in this fight @17/10 odds. Im dont no either of these fighters inside out but thought id share what i do know compare it with your guys thoughts and then decide if im still gonna bet.

JCC starts slow almost conceding the first 2 rounds, he likes to trade, has good power and excellant accuracy. his outside game is his weakness.
Sergio has great conditioning and is strong through 12 rounds, he does lose a few rounds in all his fights, JCC will probably outpower him inside but sergio could probably outbox him. JCC has improved every fight since training with Freddie.

The toughest fight of each guys career is probably this one, i see it as a 50/50 fight but with better than 50/50 odds thats why im thinking JCC is a good bet for the value.

Any thoughts, have i overlooked or missed anything.

JCC at 6/5 odds. William Hill.

Ridiculous. Dont like him, but this is a real 50-50 fight, and odds like that are incredible.

I like the odds. I'm sold on JCC Jr's chin and he's gonna come in a whole lot heavier than any of the guys Martinez has faced. If he backs up Martinez for the majority of the fight I think he's got a good shot.

I'd be shocked if Martinez can keep up with the pace JR's gonna put on him for the entire duration of the fight. He's gotta catch him good to win imo.

I looked at this fight betting wise as well. I think the odds are ok Chavez wise but I don't think he's going to win. The is a case IMO of overhype. Martinez was veiwed in the beginning as a wannabe so he had to fight his way to the top. This isn't his hardest fight. Chavez on the other hand has been hand fed and groomed. This is one of maybe three fights where he going against a game dog. I looked at the stare down and saw fear "can Chavez Jr. rise to the pressure and become simply Chavez".

This is one of those vbookie threads that should already be up. If IB uses the 17/10 or 15/8 odds that rb listed....well, you can bet the farm that even Sergayos loverboys will be putting their vcash on JR and the under.

Im just hoping for several evts where I can get reloads to stach my bets on JR.

Sergio comes out quickly, true and JR gives the first 2 away before he begins his constant body attack/leaning and relentless punching.

Sergio tends to lose rounds through the middle of the fight. Perhaps comfortably ahead and he takes a couple off soas not to outpunch himself.

Those are gonna be the turning point rds, when JRs body work takes it's toll. Sergio will let CHavez work and sneak a few middle rounds, say 5-7, but then when Sergio goes to step it back up he'll be hitting an iron chin who has only started to find home with his power shots.

This will be Sergios farewell fight. He may fight on, but Golovkins gonna get him next and that a KO4 type fight. Then maybe Proska will teach the ole ******* to box and UD him en route to 3 consecutive losses vs the future SMW/LHW champions.:deal

I will be picking JR in my bet because if it goes to the cards, we all know who that favors immensely, no matter how much Sergio may have outboxed him.

people keep saying jr might be too much because of the body work and inside game...just remember martinez' foot work wont allow jr to cut off the ring....martinez will stop chavez on cuts

Only a moron would bet Chavez Jr. @ 6/5 when you can get him @ 9/5 (+180) or better... from Vegas to Planet Mars.

You are being robbed if you're taking Chavez Jr. @ 6/5 (+120) odds.

    Yes. Ridiculous, indeed.

When did Sergio become Pernell Whitaker?
Martinez ain't a typical technician type of fighter...
He is a glorified brawler w/Speed & good movement.
    (Look @ his track record)

I won't be surprised to see Jr. Out jab Sergio.
(Contrary to popular belief Chavez has a good jab, he might not use it enough but he definetly posses a strong jab that gets him close to his opponents & opens them up.)

Martinez ain't active enough to win a pts decision vs. Chavez.
Sergio will need to Knockout Jr. Or pray Chavez blows his load early.

Watching Sergio's recent fights however show that Martinez is prone to gas in the middle rds & relies on his opponents wasting their energy following him around the ring.
That won't be the case with Chavez, IMO.

Big difference between Julio & Sergio's last opponents are size, Chin, & body punching + pressure which a fighter like Martinez will need to absorb in order to counter... Sergio won't be able to handle it.

    Let's also remember one thing...
This ain't Sergio from 2 or ever 3 years ago.

Jr's got stunned before he's getting stopped late. Sergio TKO 11, 12. Also cuts may play a big factor southpaw vs ortho and they both punch hard, but I think it would play mostly a mental factor as both are tough, gritty fighters. I don't think Sergio is looking to win by decision.

Many people will be surprised on how easly Martinez will beat Chavit and then will say that Chavit was too hyped or too young and inexperienced, and Martinez has to fight with Golovkin ..... bla , bla , bla :deal:cool:
