Is this fight on tv this weekend. I know the Stevenson v. Cloud fight is on sky but can't see anything about the Chavez fight. Should be a good fight.
It is a joke that Chavez Jr is being allowed to dictate the weight so near the fight. A privilege not afforded to others without the surname he has. Scene it for the story(s).
Chavez is so unprofessional. They've now agreed to the 4th new weight of 173 after the initial 163. If he's not gonna dedicate himself, what's the point. Poor Vera's just gonna get bulldozered but a 190lb flat footed beast
Poor Vera? Could have easily said no? He's as much to blame as he's being greedy and simply accepting this as he can make more money out of it.
When you agree to a catchweight fight without a contract stipulating a weight these things happen im afraid.Chavez can then move the goalpost's as he sees fit Arum is happy to allow him to do this....Mexican,family name,big draw...bingo!! If Vera's management team have negotiated properly the higher the weight the more he will be paid if he is not happy pull out.Chavez has done this before & will certainly do it again. In Chavez case catchweight?Anyweight more like!
