They seem to be in talks to fight at a Chavezweight of 165! The problem I see is that Canelo claims he is not a MW yet is okay at fighting at 165? Good money fight, if at all, is the only thing outstanding of this fight. Two "names", two Mexicans from rival Mexican televisions going at it. So much for "we Mexicans don't fu.ck. around" when it comes to GGG.
Triple G-parts has already turned down a 15 million dollar payday (by far would be his best payout ever, and will never get that kind of money from anyone else fighting in the club Joe Louis made famous) he's too scared to put his 0 on the line against someone who could actually take it from him. Hopefully the Jacobs fight comes off so Daniel can starch his ass, and put a end to some of these ridiculous suckoff sessions from G's warped fans.
Canelo is an idiot. Say's he cant fight at 160, but wants to fight at a weight which does not exist in 165? 160, 168 or nothing.
G is a idiot for turning down 15 mil, he can't make that kind of money fighting anyone else, but I guess protecting that 0is more important.
Smart business decision 500k PPVs minimum This could break the attendance record help by Chavez SR Canelo just stole what Team GG called their "dream fight"
A flat-fee with those kinda numbers indicates that he'd be getting a hell of a lot more if he takes it.
Looking at this fight from the Al Haymon perspective, which is how Canelo and Oscar look at fights too, Canelo should win this one, and the money is too good to pass up. Plus a win here for Canelo might make a few Mexicans forget how afraid Canelo is of GGG. So low to medium risk/very high reward. That's why Canelo and Oscar like this fight. Plus they'll probably send hookers, blow and hot fudge sundaes to Jr. in training camp as an insurance policy. This one's a no brainer.
Cocaine O$car is too addictive to the nose candy, don't see him giving up part of his STASH. The rest of your post is probably TRUE.
So turning down 10% is wrong. So the undisputed champion of the middleweight division should get a 10% cut and the challenger should get 90%. boy you best stick to your day job.
If G is as good as he and his fans think he is, then take the huge payday even if leaving money on the table this time, go out stomp his ass, and change the terms for the rematch.
You're an idiot for not knowing they sent K2 and Golovkin a contract paying them 8 figures for a fight at the full MW limit. Watch more boxing before you try to debate.
My god some of you GGG fans are pussies, there have been tons of ATG's who took the chance and conceded all sorts of advantages, took less money etc because they knew they were the better fighter, but had to do these things to get the bigger name fighter in the ring to prove they were the best so they could make their own demands for the rest of their career. If G's as good as he thinks he is, it's a smart gamble on himself that will pay off huge, not to mention IT's 15 MILLION DOLLARS! So it's not like he's being offered chump change to take one step closer to cementing his legacy.
