Chavez has been so inactive that It is almost l8ke he is retired. That being said, no way the limited Jacobs puts a dent in him.
Unless Chavez Jr has dedicated his career to working for bigger and better things in the square circle, I have to say Danny Jacobs by a kayo late in the fight. Jacob's has shown dedication, in his training, coming in prepared to fight. He showed a lot during his defeat to Golovkin, close fight. Julio has had too many skirmishes with the law, way too many distractions.
I agree with you. But, I think his close fight with GGG told us more about how little GGG had left, than it did about Jacobs being truly talented. Just ask Canelo. ... or Deverenchenko
I’m mildly interested just to see if Chavez can make weight and actually have enough energy to throw a punch. Chavez won’t beat Jacobs but he’s as tough as nails and can go twelve rounds imo.
Word is that he's suspended in Nevada where the fight originally was to take place and didn't show up at the hearing. Instead they moved the fight to Phoenix... Always some backwater hamlet where you can still fight even when you ran from a drugtest
Easy fight for Jacobs. Didn't even know Chavez Jr had fought anyone since Canelo but apparently he has...
Hopefully this is the last time we see Chavez Jr. again. If Martinez didn't get dropped in the 12th this wouldn't even be a thread.
