If I got paid the kind of money he's getting paid, hell yea I'll eat punches to the face.

WTF are we suppose to do? Feel sorry for a lazy bum who's been given every opportunity after opportunity. There are guys way better then him who never gets to sniff a tittle fight let along the money he's making. Don't even get people started on his gift wins.

That much is true. Lee did outbox him in the early going, but he was unable to keep it going and Chavez did legitimately break him down. (though mostly due to his size, which is the advantage that netted him most of his quality wins...but even so, he does get at least a modicum of credit for achieving them)

Seriously, most of those were bad decisions. At the very least they all had scorecards that were far too generous to Chavez.

Also keep in mind the dodgy weight draining and positive test for a diuretic. Biggest fraud in boxing.

I have no sympathy for Jr, has been banned, fail to make weights and had more than his fair share of questionable decisions.

It was only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Yeah, I think I might actually consider Chavez Jr. to be something of an over-achiever, given that size and family pedigree have been his two biggest assets. By and large, he made the most of what he had at his disposal.

Arum dodged a huge bullet there. Haymon just took a bullet point blank.

Well I don't think we will see Chavez Jr fight again, not in a big fight anyway. One of the most over rated fighters in the time I have watched boxing I know one or two serious boxing fans who take him seriously. Yes he was a decent top 30 guy at Middle, mainly because of in my opinion drug abuse and blood doping which allowed him to fight guys 2 weight divisions smaller than him. Now he has finally got too lazy to cut down to those weights and he is fighting guys his own size he has been exposed.

He deserves some respect yes. He was have decent yes but he clearly lost the first fight to Vera and he has had many other debatable decisions. I know pretty much everybody felt he lost both to Molina although I didn't see those fights.

So yes I do respect the guy but after all of the unfair advantages he's had over other boxers I must admit I'm kind of happy to see that happen to him tonight so a real fighter who deserves it more can finally earn some hype.
