I think a good test for Chavez Jr would be Ishe Smith from the contender. Smith just won a fight yesterday and previously beat an opponent that was 21-0. This fight would prove who should go up in the rankings. I thought that Smith was one of the better fighters from the contender.
ishe would beat him. they are padding the s**** out of the little chavez's record. and yet people say khan isnt facing anyone. them whores are both the same age
Yeah but Khans got great ametuer credetials. and has great skills. Chavez jr is living off his dads name. He is fairly average. I think that's the main difference between the two.
Ishe Smith is living of the "Contender" name. And let's not forget he didn't win it. I remember guys tipping him as the next big thing years ago. He's a never was.
Chavez may be the most protected fighter in boxing history. He struggled with Matt Vanda. 'Nuff said!
Ishe would beat him so I don't see that fight happening any time soon. It'll be a while before JCC takes anything close to an Ishe Smith type set up (a top 20 contender with a very nasty style).
Still too early for Chavez Jr., maybe after 25 more Tijuana nurses he should be ready for someone like Smith.
