iron chin chavez would have a good chance against kovalev. lbvs.

Iron chinned against blown up junior middleweights perhaps.

If you look at what Maravilla did to his face, you can imagine what happens when Kovalev starts to land :scaredas:

Kovalev breaks him. It's not even like Chavez has better skills.

i think it would be a lot closer than you think. chavez jr could comfortably make 175, and one left hook could hurt kovalev. chavez chin would be tested but what happens if kovalev gives his best shot and it doesn't hurt chavez.

Chavez hasn't got a better chin and no where the se defensive capabilities of hopkins. I would like too see kovalev pushed back, but he can counter and box off the back foot aswell, he has superior skills, he's bigger and stronger, probably quicker and hits harder.

The whole "Chavez has an iron chin" is an illusion, he's fought blown up light middles and he's never ever fought a puncher his size. Kovalev by KO in round 5.

Chavez is tough as they come but Kovalev is too big, strong and hits too hard.

Chavez is an iron chinned warrior but Kovalev is too much for him.

Chavez wouldnt have his usual weight advantage, would likely undertrain as he doesnt have to work as hard to make the weight (if he makes the weight) and would get starched in the first 3 or 4 rounds by a brutal KO.

Chavez aint going up to fight anyone of note at 175, he has enough trouble trying to get a fight VS Froch which again is a KO loss for him. Froch inside of 8

Jr would be at a disadvantage in every facet. This is a mismatch
    of epic porportions.
