Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez deal finalized by Top Rank and Sampson Lewkowicz?

Jr. couldn't stop Zbik but he's supposed to stop a guy who took Kelly Pavlik's power and owned him in his first MW fight. Pavlik who was another huge MW fighter (weighed 178 on fight night against Sergio.) GTFO, like I said, avatar tells me all I need to know.

 

I hope this fight happens, but dont count Andy Lee out. Right now this is pick em material. Chavez Jr. has shown a good beard and a high workrate on top of a huge frame for a middleweight. Martinez is clearly the better boxer and more athletic of the two but he is at an age where you start to lose these attributes.

 

Will be hilarious if it happens in Mexico.

- And Lee knows he can't win a decision in Texas, so you KNOW he'll be going for the KO.

Unless he's been paid to take a dive (quite possible) I see Andy taking out Jr. in the late rounds. Jr. has a thick skull, but Lee's power is very underrated, and he completely outclasses Jr. in the skills dept.

It will all depend on Andy's attitude when he enters the ring: If he plays it safe, Jr. will win a BS decision, and face Martinez. If He stays outside but really goes after Jr, then hopefully we'll see Lee vs Martinez, which would be a VERY interesting fight.
