Seems to be a lot of inaccuracies in this thread

1 you will only get a letter if you have a legitimate debt
2 if you didn't call up how can you be sure which event the debt related to - we have had plenty of instances where customers are adamant they have paid and when investigated it turns out they have purchased more than one event and not all have been paid for
3 If there was a genuine mistake made you would have received an immediate apology - it is rare for a mistake to be made but things do happen
4 If you query the debt with us a full investigation would have been carried out, however if you didn't contact us for whatever reason we are unable to establish the full facts

We are a legitimate company, regulated by Ofcom and we cannot 'rob' people as has been suggested. If you are unhappy with any of our practises you have an established right of appeal through Ofcom. This means as a regulated company we have to adhere to agreed practises or risk losing our license.

Just out of interest. Why £15. As a lot of people have said before £15 just makes it seem such a rip off for a one off event. Honestly, at £9.99 i would probably be inclined to buy this event.

Yeah this one comes up a lot. Primetime do not purchase the rights to fights, we operate on a revenue share basis with the promoters. Because of this we cannot set the prices independently/ourselves. we offer advise and guidance to promoters but they have the final say.

The long established PPV price in the UK is £14.95( compared with a minimum for $49.95 in the States). It is very difficult to persuade a promoter to move away from this established price when they view their talent as 'world' quality.

We have in the past offered a coule of Klitschko fights at £9.95 and some other boxing at £5.95 however these lower price brackets have not delivered substantially more purchases to make them viable for a big event.

Venus, I would also like you to justify to me why I should pay £15 for one event in the early hours of the morning, when Boxnation charge £10 for a whole months worth of boxing?

Let me answer that for you,,,,, It's because my company are rip off merchants that are trying to squeeze fans of every penny they got.

    Wrong???

To be fair to Primetime we don't know if Boxnation are breaking even at the tenner price point- no details of the Chisora/Haye butyrate leads me to believe they aren't doing that well... Yet.

As for tonight there is a free card featuring Goodwin's fighters which should be half decent- one of those cards every six weeks is a good thing even if it is on a channel that isn't well liked!

Yeah I didn't see that as I was making my post, that clears a lot up to be honest but Primetime must understand that no matter what spin they put on it, £15 is too much in this current climate, it feels and is a rip off.

    That is undeniable Venus.

Emmm I see what your saying but still for £15 pound a time, it's too much imo.

Your comment is valid, I can only offer the information I have. I do not agree it is a rip off though - you have the option whether to purchase or not and have a good idea of the value you will get for your purchase.

It is a great night on Primetime tonight with live boxing from 7pm -11pm and 2am - 6/7am + the 24/7, Face Off etc in between. I hope people enjoy it.

I do agree that £15 is steep but at least the lad from Primetime (who takes some stick on here) has explained his company's thinking. I'd like fights like these to be picked up by normal Sky Sports as although it's sure to be a decent fight the appeal to a UK audience is limited ( below 10k buys).

Primetime should make that explanation known to as many people as possible, it would help their image to a degree.

The problem with Primetime is they go missing for months on end, nobody hears a peep from them and then all of a sudden, they pop up and suddenly declare we have this fight or that fight all for the price of £15 pound, it don't come across well, fight fans already have to pay out a fair bit.

Interestingly enough Primetime hasn't gone missing. Since the deal with Sports Tonight Live there has been free programming on ch498 every day since the euro's. Mainly football related. Recently STL have started broadcasting Polish football on Primetime(again free) and recently they agree a deal with Goodwin Promotions for their boxing shows to be shown on Primetime - again for free.

The main difference has been I haven't been on the forums for a whil as I've been off having an operation on my knee.....
