    Erm......

One has beaten a fair few decent fighters, including a rematch against a guy who schooled him in their first fight.

The other has beaten absolutely nobody, and his only claim to fame is being the son of the greatest 140lb fighter of all time.

    Tough choice :think

As I said in another post, I'd rather see Chavez Jr against Demers at 160lbs.

Chavez is fighting Vanda who has been outboxed during 12 rounds by Demers few weeks ago. There Demers is facing a tough gatekeeper (Fulgencio Zuniga) on Aug. 1st. If both wins, Demers-Chavez Jr on the undercard of a major event this Fall in USA. Demers is the IBF intl champ. So, it's a minor belt that justify 12 rounds of action.

let chavez jr. be, he's following his dad's career, i believe chavez sr. was around 40-0 something before his first title fight and plus jr. had no amateur career, look at hartley he didn't have any amateur career. If he did he could have had an even record and not the current.

Paul Williams would murder Chavez Jr right now.

Chavez looked utterly bemused by some of things Jose Celaya was doing in the ring, just imagine the fits Williams would give him.

LMAO...Do you mean Andrew Hartley from the Trailer Park series???

On the serious tip though, I wouldnt mind seeing Jr fight Williams because they are both tall kids you know. I like to see how JR can deal with that jab Williams has. IMHO think it would be great matchup.....

Chavez knocks out anything with a belt at 154 right now.

His name is Jack Presscott...we tend to ignore him on here. He is like the crazy uncle ya keep locked in the attic. If you try and take him seriously you may lose your mind.

I don't know if he is there yet but Chavez Jr will end up the better fighter, and he is still only 22!

He is only 22 but has looked decent at best up to this point. All vs fairly decent at best competition.

No way he is going to be better than Williams. He is going lose badly to the first good fighter he faces.

Williams would win this one today.

The book is still out on Chavez. I happen to see a lot of upside to this kid. He's certainly tough, has some power, but he gets hit too easily and needs to add some short punching to his arsenal. He's learning on the go and that's a very risky thing to do on the pro level.

Chavez would not only KO his ass, but could draw more asses in the seats by giving a seminar than Bernard could fighting again. :deal
