Martinez is not going to be fighting at an elite level much longer, I mean, look what Darren Barker did to him for God's sake. Taking this fight, for this money would be a career high pay day and put Martinez in a great position moving forward. Within the probable 3-5 fights leading up to his retirement, he could probably make more than he's made in his entire career up till now.

I'm not saying it's right, but if Martinez wants that "golden egg", he's gonna have to work for it.
