Jacobs beats Chavez Jr. easy, but Jacobs doesn't need to fight at any weight but 160. Once he goes up, I doubt he will be making 160 again.

I doubt Jacobs can keep making 160, he's huge at the weight. He makes a welcome addition to SMW tho now Jacks moved up.

Wow no way I just presumed we'd never see Chavez again.
Given how thin he looked at 164 is four pounds gonna much difference?
Guess that he knows light heavy is a step too far.
Jacobs wins that and maybe knocks him out?

If the Cheeseburger Junior version of Chavez that fought Canelo shows up, Jacobs hits him with so much leather his gloves catch fire. I just really get the feeling that Junior doesn't GAF about boxing and wants to cash out. Maybe he should open up a few McDonalds franchises and play video games instead. :eatingburger It would be a lot healthier for him.

The alternative view is that Junior was so weight drained that he was unable to do anything.

It's also possible that he doesn't GAF and was weight drained, LOL.

As much as I want him at middleweight, I question how much longer he can healthily make the weight. JR would be a nice introduction fight in his new weightclass.

jccjr has reached the end of the road, as far as being any kind of legitimate contender at any weight.

Have you considered the possibility that Canelo is just that damn good?

You say he's the Cheeseburger Man, but yet Jr managed to dedicate himself to get down to 164 and he appeared to do it safely and healthily. I mean, nearly everybody was impressed at the weigh-in, that he seemed to easily make weight and he didn't looked drained. You don't get into that kind of shape by just sitting on the couch and eating cheeseburgers.

He obviously dedicated himself in training and got himself in great shape. For Chavez to push himself in the gym to make that weight, and to look the part, he obviously gave a **** and worked his ass off to get into top condition for this fight.

Chavez was hanging in there with Canelo until the middle of round 2 he got nailed with some big shots and it made him gunshy. Canelo rung Jr's bell in the 2nd round and it changed the fight. That's what happened. A lesser fighter would have been stopped by those punches that Canelo landed but Chavez has a good chin. Chavez came to fight. He was throwing punches with conviction in the early rounds, he was trying to exchange with Canelo but Canelo was too fast, too strong, and his defense was too tight. I don't know why you can't see that.

Chavez has never looked that bad before and standing around like a statue has nothing to do with Canelo.

Canelo would probably have won anyway, let's be honest, but Chavez looked a shadow of himself.
