Confirmed by Jose Sulaman. I can't see Arum sticking him in with the relatively unknown Martinez when he could drop Chavez down to 154 to fight Cotto/Margarito for another in house fight that would generate far more money. What do you think?

Unknown or very talented Martinez? But you do have a point about fighting Cotto/Margarito winner. But I doubt it will be at 154lbs, Arum will make the winner move up to MW. I don't think Jr. can make 154lbs. safely.

Well unknown and very talented. The fact that Martinez would obviously beat him goes without saying really.

There would be no title on the line if he was to fight at middleweight though so I'm not sure if that will be the route that Arum will take.

I think he is underrated on here also. He's a solid B-level boxer. Having said that, Martinez is in another class and would beat him comfortably. And Arum knows this, so why would he put him in with Martinez?

expect him to drop the belt then. Martinez would murder him. Literally.

Arum will instruct Chavez Jr. to vacate the belt, and like the little lapdog that he is, he will comply. Sergio will then get his belt back!

manfredo is a joke being allowed to fight for the title...what top 10 fighter has manfredo beat at 160 since being steam rolled by bika at 168?

If Chavez beats Manfredo (Which I truly expect) best believe Jr. ain't vacating ****!!!
Martinez IF he is still around wanting the mandatory shot is next.
(But... who knows what can happen in that time between now & then?)

Sulliaman has already given his word to Sergio the fight is his.
as recent as this morning via Twitter, So you know it's REAL. :!:
