This is not a good move for jr. Mayorga can still take a good punch, jr. Doesn't exactly have one punch ko power, mayorga hits hard as hell, and when motivated can do majo damage.

Then what is a good fight for Jr. And when will he FINALLY step-up in competition!!!!

    Damn 39-0-1 Already....Thats 40 F**KIN' FIGHTS!!!! C'MON MAN!!

Yet everybody in ESB keeps giving Berto Hell...saying he should have fought the TOP WELTERS Already...Lets Go Chavez Jr...STEP UP.

If he doesn't wann fight some of the TOP 10 at 154lbs...At least some of the TOP Prospects.

    Shawn Porter
    Demetruis Andrade
    Mike Jones

Both Jones and Andrade are fighting at 147lbs now...But for a chance to fight a name like Chavez jr....They'll make the jump.

    STEP-UP JR.

We'll really see how good or bad Chavez is when he steps up. Right now I can't say he's trash or he's good. Right now till he steps up he's just a prospect. If he fights and beat Mayorga and looks decent in doing it I might be ready to call him a contender.

A prime mayorga would beat him in 5 as well, but with a beer in one hand.

This shouldn't be a WBC eliminator

    What about Moore vs Rhodes?

disagree with all of you! i don't think chavez jr. gets enough credit for the fighter he is. okay, so he hasn't fought world beaters yet but the kid is still learning and he hasn't lost yet in 40 pro fights.

i think he'll be ready for mayorga who is getting long in the tooth, and chavez jr. will KO with body punches.

Dont know if this is true... Right no one knows what is going on with Mayorga, but i'll be the first to support this fight. It's time for Chavez Jr. to step up and Mayorga is the perfect opponent for him to get to the next level and more respect from fans.

If this fight does happen I would give Chavez Jr. alot of props but he will lose most likely.
