Lem: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will pocket $3 million, Martinez, $1.4 million, according to the Nevada Commission. #boxing

Jr. haters stay mad, you're keeping him relevant and paying his bills.

They don't call him La Dinero de Vaca for nothing. Keep in mind his GF has ties to the cartel, I'm sure she has an entire room in his mansion full of stacks.

I wonder what the PPV splits are like. Not just with this fight, but in general. I know sometimes they have to hit a magic number for the extra money to kick in.

I hope Martinez wins this. He deserves it more.

Interesting that Martinez's guarantee is less than it was for the Barker and Macklin fights.

  5. This is PPV my friend, he'll make more.

Of course. I just found it interesting that he gave up options and agreed to at least potentially make less than he has for his two previous fights, especially given the fact that it looked like this would have to compete against another strong PPV on the same night.

If Sergio wins this, he'll be onto bigger better things. I believe this is the fight that can make him into a star.

That's cause it's PPV, he'll make more, and he isn't the A side so naturally he'll make a little less since his opponent is also making millions.

But the PPV money makes up for it.

    Good pay day for both.

  10. Nothing will make him into a star bro. Same thing with guys like Gamboa. They're skilled but have a tiny fanbase that won't grow into anything.

I don't see how you're agreeing with that post. Cállate Negro seems saying there's no natural fan base for Martinez for reasons of ethnicity and you're saying DiBella is an idiot :huh If there's no way Martinez would ever become a star then how exactly is it the promoter's fault?
