Chavez Jr will stop Martinez inside 8. You heard it here first!!

This is the most likely outcome in my eyes and I hope I'm wrong.

I think it's gonna' come down to who gasses first.

Martinez is gonna' have to be on his toes, moving in and out and delivering his offense and counters at angles to avoid being cut off and beaten down, unless or until Jr gasses and then his style will begin to dominate.

Jr. is gonna' have to be pressuring and bullying and trying to cut off the ring to avoid getting picked apart and beaten up from the outside, unless or until Martinez gasses and then his style will take over.

I don't care if Jr. works in the day or in the night or if he decides which are off days or Roach does or his dad. I don't question his heart or even if he's skilled enough to get it done. Martinez can be hit. He's no Sweat Pea or PBF. Thing is, I'm not convinced that Jr. is putting in the hours. If Jr is not in shape to go full-tilt-boogie every second of every minute of every round for all 12 rounds, I think he'll end up coming apart late in the fight and suffering a tko.

People who say like this will disappear from this forum after their predicitons are wrong. I've just seen another guy who predicted that Charr will give Vitali hell doing so.

What fight was you watching? Apart from throwing the odd jab, Chavez basically tried to walk Martinez down in straight lines and corner him on the ropes. That was not Chavez trying to box, that was Chavez thinking he could use his size to just walk through punches to land his own at short range.

Very naive of him to think he could cut the ring off against such a good mover without throwing any set up shots.

 

There are 36 minutes in a 12 round fight.And Martinez won about 34 of them.

 

Chavez Jr is a human punching bag his face was a mess he has nothing but size. Hus daddy looked like he was about to cry watching his son get his ass kicked.
