Molina is one of the most underrated boxers in the game right now. I'm just wondering if there are people who saw his fights with Chavez Jr.

Chavez drew with him and won via mixed decision a few months later. Can anyone confirm the legitimacy of those results? I tend to think a draw in a Chavez Jr fight really means he got his arse handed to him. But I could be wrong.

Both robberies. Chavez really has two losses. Some people might say four if you count Vanda I and Zbik, but the two against Molina were worse.

I think Molina will do the upset against Kirkland.

I'll say this though, Jr. was very green and timid at that point and didn't really have his heart in the sport...and hadn't come into his own physically yet.

Now that he has his full man strength and a few years of really focusing his offense under Roach and has found some hunger, I think he might be able to legitimately beat Molina if he lured him up to MW for a third chance. Too big and too able to sustain that stifling aggression with his improved stamina.

I scored it for Molina, but I wouldnt put much stock into it, Jrs a completely different fighter today then he was then. But Molina deserved the win imo (first fight, never saw the second)

i guess outweighing his opponents and using the added 20lb weight advantage and also having a promoter like bob arum and jose suleman to manipulate the rankings has to help in the overall scheme of things.

What do you think? Molina is very underrated, him beating kirkland would deffinitely not be an upset. Its the other way around imo. Molina would school anyone at 154 angulo, kirkland, vanes and possibly even canelo

Carlos Molina is one of my favorite active fighters

not a one punch killer or a gifted natural athlete

but just a well polished well schooled boxer

he was given tough tests early got a few blemishes and is one of the top guys at 154 and i think will make a splash

he deserves lots of respect fighting Lara and Kirkland if he beats Kirkland he has many options

i think he can give Canelo Cotto and K9 hell

Didn't see the first fight but I though Chavez Jr edged the second one.

He didn't loose the Vanda fight either, he did enough to win, he gassed out in the second half of the fight and Vanda pounded him but Chavez made it to the finish. There was one corrupt judge though who had all the rounds for Chavez and that became the biggest issue of the night.
