We all heard that Jr doesn't train properly and that he's a lazy bulky guy, etc but in this fight against Martinez his stamina/condition was pretty good for a lazy guy . In Zbik, Rubio and Lee fights he had a good condition too.

What do u think it is ? Just simply rumors for the public and in reality Jr trains hard when he has a fight or he's on something ? :think

    Genetically good stamina.

His father was a beast, but his father probably trained very hard. Its a fact that Chavez Jr has cheated in the past, in several different ways.. wouldnt surprise me if he was on something.

Chavez Jr did use diuretics to make weight in the past, his team refused to weigh gloves, they blatantly dismissed post-fight urine testing.

His father was a machismo, his son is a straight punk ***** who feasts on men smaller than him.. just another Margarito with no class.

Well on 24/7 it shows him doing a lot of cardio. Like most Roach fighters they focus a lot on Cardio. I don't think he focuses a lot on strat/form bc his form is still not that great and very wide shots.

I think his biggest problem was not his stamina or strength, it was being completely befuddled by a much smarter guy with much quicker instincts.
Chavez couldn't get his feet set to do anything, and in the second round it was clear that Sergio could hurt him with very sharp and annoying punches coming from everywhere.
Note that Chavez tried to clown Sergio in round 2 and was quickly silenced with some sharp punches that obviously hurt, because he never tried that again. And also got his nose crushed.
He was simply outclassed, and for whatever reason even when he had the fight where he wanted it, he could not take advantage, my feeling on this is because Sergio made it that way with stinging punches to the gut and nose, and he got into Chavez' head.

Even if he was on something, he'd still have to train hard to get in shape. All PEDs do is help you to train harder and more frequently. Diuretics dont even do that, they literally just help you **** more to lose weight.

I get the feeling the whole "Chavez is lazy and doesnt train hard" thing is just for show. He obviously trains very hard or he wouldnt be coming on strong after the end of a 12 round beatdown.

Doing nothing for 11 rounds helped him to throw punches in the last few minutes.

Chavez has nothing for serge in a rematch except for cash... Lil Julio doesn't have the skill to compete outside of another lucky punch. Sergio won't get sloppy next time around and will be even better conditioned. Also Sergio can put on a little muscle and make weight. Chavez should be fighting at LHW anyway but doesn't have the skill for that division or 168lbs... and cant really add that muscle and make weight. I think Chavez Jr. would be smart to move on but he has a ton of myopic fans who think this fight is doable for him. easy night for Sergio. He'll never let Jr. get him in trouble again...

But getting battered around for 11 rounds will sap the energy out of you. One has to be in top condition to be on the receiving end of a boxing clinic the way Martinez did it. :D

training hard or not, when you're on "something" you're a cheater and a disgrace for the sport , generally speaking !:yep

I think Jr took this fight very serious and trained hard but I'd have given him more credit if he would've taken that blood drug test !

Some big question marks remain since he was caught with diuretics and his urine tests are pretty questionable and way too unprofessional !

p.s diuretics can "mask" something .

Getting battered takes a lot out of you. I think he trains hard, 24/7 spins it to whatever angle they think best.
