Chavez/Martinez is a much better fight than Floyd/Manny.

I would have preferred Floyd/ Pac a few years ago, but even now it's still a fight between 2 of the best fighters in the world!

Chavez ain't even close to p4p.

Most people had Cotto winning about 4 rounds.

The fact is that people like you didn't expect him to last 6, let along winning any rounds.

People need to stop fantasizing and justify not wanting to see them fight. You're not a boxing fan if you don't want to see fighters fight in the ring.

 

When Ward & Gatti fought they weren't in their primes & their fights were outstanding! Obviously both Floyd & Pac have aged but I still believe it would be a good fight!

Floyd still wins, but you know Pac would come to win

 

Pacquiao's been complacent. Lovefest with Mosley, let Margarito off the hook when he should have stopped him. Boring, uneventful fight with Marquez. Cruised to a victory with Bradley. The fire's gone. I think he would get up for Floyd, though.

 

Not ready to dismiss Pac vs Money May just yet... Though Chavez vs Martinez does seem to have more luster & be a better match up.

The thing about Pac vs Mayweather is styles do indeed make fights.
I would give Mayweather a slight edge because of his brilliant counter punching.
Pac Struggles with those see Juan Manuel Lopez. Who incidentally Floyd basically wiped his ass with. But than you have Cotto who Pac essentially wiped his ass with. That gave Floyd the toughest fight of his life aside from Jose louis Castillo that is.

It would still be a goodfight. But would not be the Potential WAR that Chavez/Martinez is being anticipated as. pac & Money Just arent as hungry as Chavez & Martinez. Both Feel they have alot to prove which is why the fight is actually taking place while the 2 P4P Kings take a Backseat.

 

Yeah and how long ago was that? Back in the day Floyd was a more exciting fighter, but he hasn't been that fighter in a looong time.
