Chavez needs to dump Roach!!

Chavez needs to leech on to Roach for as long as he can.

 

Does every boxer in the world have an effective jab? Seen as it's so basic. If you didn't see what Martinez was doing with his own jab, then there is no point even debating with you.

"Give me proof". That's something a 12 year old would respond with. :-(

 

Chavez is a spoiled brat?!? I could count on one hand the number of fighters in the sport who could take a sustained beating like that for 11 rounds and come back to almost KTFO his man. JR surely has his limitations but there is no ground for attacking his heart

Most of them do not. Martinez in fact has a very good jab, this limited any use of Chavez's jab, even though Chavez himself wasn't willing to use it.

The sole reason for Pacquiao's jab is to set up his straight left, whether it be a single jab, or a double jab. It's not like a Cotto jab (powerful) or a Wlad jab (keep his opponents at arms length)...it's a range finder jab.

Khan has displayed a very good jab in about 2 bouts, one of them being against Malignaggi, and I forget the other bout. He was with Roach for both bouts.

Let's take a look at a pattern.

Pacquiao listens to Roach and dominates for years.
Khan doesn't listen to Roach, gets beaten by boxers he's expected to beat.
Chavez doesn't listen to Roach, gets beaten...well, he wasn't expected to beat Martinez anyway.

(Neither are on Pacquiao's level, and never will be).

I'll repeat, Chavez was not good enough to jab with Martinez, even if he did try to throw the jab.

This. Daddy bought the best trainer for his son. Its not Roach's fault Jr. is a spoiled rich kid that doesnt take the sport seriously.

Jr doesn't take boxing serious. He is out of shape. Doesn't show up to training.

It doesn't matter who they have in his corner. He doesn't listen. He is a spoiled kid who got a to of breaks cause of his name.
