I was not working security at the event though... I was part of the promotion.

pic from that day Oscar was all smiles and Chavez was not

by the way do you know Ernie the Tailor from Huntington Park? He is a former boxer but his family tailors all of Oscar's clothes he is my tailor too.

:patsch Thats right but i knew you were part of the whole shaaabang! Dont know him was he a pro fighter?

Have you ever met Dazza or seen her at the fights? Or do you remember her at the press conference? Pretty fine she looks better than the Avi but i like her pose. She was also one of the Main Promo chicks for
    Lowrider Magazine.

I got a press pass to this conference. I was friends with Johnny Ortiz and Danny Lujan who had a well known Boxing radio show on ESPN, they used to hook me up at events,Vip parties, fights etc etc. Im sure i was within 50 feet from when this picture was taken.

The Downey Flash... himself ... I schooled him on Chavez when he was on KMAX... he literally shut up and Krikorian took over the conversation. I like Ortiz do you still keep in touch.

I was talking to Fernando Paramo...Chicanito... I sat next to Bobby Chacon

What is Ortiz up to? He really had mad respect for Genaro Hernadez he picked him over Oscar

I remember her but at the time I was super religious and stayed away from bad girls lol....

Well i was one of the main callers on his show, became a mini celebrity on the local radio airwaves:lol: How did you school him on Chavez? Chavez was one of his favorites and he is one of the most knowledgeable Old school guys ive ever met. I got to get a hold of him he usually use to hook me up at the WBHOF banquets and is on the Board of directors.
I lost touch with him a few years back i went on "Vacation" for a few years:lol: Since ive been back home i havent reallyheard much about him, iguess i could find out if i tried hard enough, I googled him and he has a few sites but they are all old news not updated. Dont think he has had anything big going on in the last few years. He was in a few movies also had small roles in ALI and Play it to the Bone really good guy, he used to do shows out of the ESPN zone in the early 00s over at Downtown Disney and would let me go into the Broadcast booth and bull**** for a few minutes.

He was real old school and would have a heart attack listening to some of the idiots here on ESB:lol::lol: He is personal friends with a lot of big names and legends in Boxing, anyways that reminds me to try and find him. Yey he liked Chicanito and all the legends from SO CAL he was also big on Oscar.

What was your caller name on the show and what citywere you calling from back then? Iremember most of the callers.

:think:think:think YEy a Ricardo from the SGV area sounds familiar:huh But that was a while ago:lol: He would tell me to call under different names and say i was Tonys brother since we sounded alike:lol: If i didnt call right away , they would have Danny call me and tell me Tony were gonna put you on after break hold on:lol: Got a lot of storys and memories hanging with those guys at the fights and WBHOF banquets, boxing events etc etc.
