But it does not erase the fact that Chavez's resume is being overrated by his fans.

No, it doesnt...and I'll fully agree w/ you that his biggest fans sometimes have a tendency to overrate him a good deal.

Certainly a bit overrated but a great fighter.

He never beat a true ATG and some of his defenses were soft. His record for the first few years of his carrer is padded up because of his lack of an amateur background.

Still he beat about a half dozen very good fighters, didn't have a letdown in his prime, and I can't recall him ducking anyone.

To say he was a "fraud" is bull****. He is an ATG in every sence of the word.

    O.K. just 1-time for the Troll/*******.
The Pac/Clottey fight was Fabricated :deal
Bob arum had Clottey clearly show up for a pay check only. :deal
Real Boxing fans of the sport were not fooled by that illusion that took place.

Pac's carefully picked opponents like extremely overrated club fighter posing as an elite fighter in Hatton=Carefully chosen :deal

Weight drained Oscar De La Hoya at guess what a "catch weight"= Carefully chosen :deal

All boxing experts and not corrupt judges had Marquez beating Pac both times. Like Rich Marotta to name one. :deal
Shot Morales beat and mocked your boy in the championship rounds in his last stretch of his greatness. :deal
Then Pac comes out with the biggest excuse "i was tired from drawing blood and thats the only reason i lost that fight". :rofl:rofl:rofl

Chavez coming up nor in his prime ever get KTFO like Pac did :deal

Point is *******s are desperately trying to discredit the great JCC in hopes of having PacRoid surpass him in the rankings one day. That is pathetic.

The Rosario fight was a great win for Chavez stepping up in weight. Obviously you never saw that fight nor did you know who Rosario was in the rankings at that time. I however don't believe Chavez was worthy of a draw against the great Whitaker either. Chavez was a beast. (37) Title fights (most ever). The most consecutive title defenses of all time (27). Best Pound for pound fighter in his prime. (6) titles in 3 weight divisions. (20) consecutive title defenses at Jr welterweight. Awesome combinations to the head and ferocious body attacks never stepping back. Classic fight outcomes. 2nd largest boxing live crowd ever with 132,274 against Haugen. 301 title fight rounds etc..........

PacRoids are extremely obsessed and desperate. :deal
    :rofl:rofl:rofl

I'm a fan of truly great fighters and Chavez is definitely one of them.
Cant try to discredit the man unless you know you favorite fighter cant touch his status.
