Duran at any weight. JCC best chance is 130. Both great but RD better all round and was a champ way up to 160.
I think you misunderstood me...I do not rate Duran 11-20 at LW, but overall atg. At light weight he is a clear top 3 in any order with leonard and gans and to me the difference is small. I put Duran ahead of chavez overall atg but have both in the top 20. I do rate Duran higher, but do not feel he has a wide seperation.
This would be a war. I think the 1987 version of Chavez would give Duran all he could handle. I'll take Duran on a decision, he had better defensive nuances and more judge friendly punches. One thing is for sure, there wouldn't be a stoppage. Duran was harder to hit and in a war the guy who doesn't get hit as clean and clear, usually wins.
Oh. OK. That seems about right. They had different best weights. JC Superstar was really dominant at Jr. Lightweight. Duran was brilliant at lightweight and skipped Jr. Welterweight, where he could have easily won a title. He then fought a great fight and beat one of the top 3 WW's of all time. JCC would have had no chance against SRL, IMO. I would love to have seen a Jr. Welterweight Duran against Pryor. I go with Duran by late and brutal KO after a furious battle.
