that's what's being reported on the Scene, but the article made no mention of opponents.

But there are plenty of articles out there referencing the likely opponent to be Darren Barker. First of all, **** HBO. I don't care if Hershman isn't behind this but they are proving that they are an oblivious bunch of ******s.

Second of all, why the hell does Darren Barker get two title shots within 4 months? I'm not saying he can't compete with Chavez, although he better let his hands go a bit more, but he got knocked out by Sergio. A guy at his level coming off a KO loss shouldn't be getting a title shot in his next fight.

Who else is out there? Andy Lee for starters. He's quite available, higher ranked than Barker, and Lou Dibella showed interest after the Manfredo fight.
And what about the guy who absolutely deserves it, Marco Antonio Rubio? How long has he been ranked #1? I think maybe, just maybe, he'd be willing to scrap his fight with Matt Vanda for this fight.

Chavez is a BS! It's sad to see how arum and roach continue to lead this class C fighter on. They're running from anyone tough. Rubio has been handcuffed and kidnapped for months. There's no need for chavez to fight anyone else but Rubio. Incredible to see how the promoters twist, turn and make up their own rules. Chavez, you will find out the truth about your talent one day soon.. unitl then, ride your father's name and make millions of dollars fighting nobodies.

Rubio has been calling Junior out since he became mando in April trashing my man David (who's low ring IQ got exposed).

Rubio would jump to superstardom in Mexico for handing Junior's ass to him.

Somehow, Sulaiman & daddy Chavez will never let that happen.

A Barker fight is terrible. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Brian Vera maybe?

A guy with a belt shouldn't be in fights that actually belong on FNF's. He should fight Sergio or Rubio, but of course he will not.

HBO recently turned down a unification fight between two better middleweights than Chavez Jr: Geale vs. Pirog.

Yet they'll have Chavez fighting another no-hoper like Manfredo, who may be a victim of an early stoppage like he was or get robbed on the cards.
