    Chavez is a legend, if a tad overrated by some. Not overrated as a fighter in terms of ability(because at his best as a LW he was very impressive), but his career often gets a bit overrated.

    Whether or not someone is a legend is not a matter of opinion. It is a fact that Chavez is a legend. he will be a first ballot hall of famer, he is remembered by most as one of the if not the greatest mexican fighter of all time and as one of the greatest fighters of his weight class. he does hold wins over other HOF guys, he is a mulitweight world champion. Now you can say that you don't consider him a great fighter (your'd be wrong) but that is a matter of opinion. Society and the boxing public has deemed that he is a legend and your opinion can not change that.
