no, but after calling them out (floyd's been a hbo fighter for 4ever so how come he didnt think about this while at 135) all of a sudden the showtime thing was a problem...it's all in the same article bro.... he clearly plays out his career from 140-147 while calling out the goods, but settling for the weakest.....:deal
Because that's the fight everyone wanted to see, remember when you were all over Zab's nuts and also mentioned that Floyd will be scared SHITLESS of Zab and will never consider moving up for him?, yeah your hate towards Floyd goes way back. Moving up to Welterweight in seek of undisputed champion Zab Judah and regarded as one of the most dangerous fighters at the time(remember your own words?) is hardly cherry picking. It's not Floyd's problem Baldomir beat him, Floyd fought and beat Baldomir as well. What has Margarito done in terms of accomplishments?, Kermit Cintron and Six Heads Lewis?, sorry but I call THAT cherry picking. Winning the undisputed title in a division and gaining the #1 spot in 3 fights is hardly cherry picking. Why wasn't Margarito officially considered #1?
Please mention the list of "goods", who are we missing here? A green(In his own words and the people behind him) Cotto and Antonio Margarito?, there must be more if you want this discussion to go far and make a solid point.
Chavez is a complete legend IMO, I personally feel that the argument of his record being padded with alot of bums is old and cliche because in Chavez time that was the norm' if you were to look at Roberto Duran record he has alot of bums on his resume as well, but it's not like those fight that Chavez had with those tomato cans were televised anyway, one should judge him on he did against the elites and you will see that Julio was a true legend who took on all top contenders.
I agree that PBF is excellent off the ropes, but he wouldn't excel like he usually does against a technically skilled inside fighter like Chavez or Cotto, not like he would a Hatton type. And while Oscar is technically skilled, he wasn't the in-fighter that Chavez was. Also, I think Chavez was clearly the harder hitter than Castillo, especially to the body. But agree to disagree.
You act as if PBF being scared of Zoo is the reason why the fight didn't happen. Get the **** outta here with that ****. Zoo-PBF didn't happen for a number of reason the biggest being PBF was a HBO fighter and Zoo was a Showtime fighter but PBF being scared of him isn't one of them.
your confusing when i said shane, not zab.....but anyways styles make fights and floyd clearly has avoided the guys that have a chance at beating him... it aint about accomplishments all the time bro...if it was, then nobody would have a chance at nobody.... floyd vs margo IS WHAT EVERYBODY wanted except floyd fans....even money may said it'll make sense in 2 years when margo approached him like a man at the conference.......what did money may do, ban him from his future conferences.....
i dont think pbf is scared of anybody, i think he's just scared to lose his 0, therefore he always goes for the easier fights.....
Oh trust me I wanted that fight, I wanted it as much as I wanted Floyd vs Baldomir and I'll be honest with you I would've preferred a fight with Baldomir simply because he was the man to beat in the division at the time and a man coming off two wins he wasn't given any chance in. He wasn't rated as #1 for nothing and that's who you normally go for. Then right after that fight comes the fight with DLH, you honestly believe ANYONE would want a fight with Margarito instead?, the PPV numbers should answer your question and the major attraction this event made. He was banned from his press conferences for talking smack and repeating the same stuff over and over. I hate to say this but what has Margarito done to attract anyone to him?, has he done any more than Baldomir or even a Judah coming off an L?, that's the business part of the sport and is hardly "running scared". If he was a fighter who had the "running scared" mentality then he wouldn't be a boxer in the first place. I know you wanted to push accomplishments aside but accomplishments play a major role in this discussion and can't be pushed aside.
It isn't just PBF fan Margo is a ****ing unknown to the casual sports fan or the general public. Nobody outside of hardcore boxing fan even know who the hell he is and could careless about that matchup. With that said I would like nothing more than to see PBF give Fraudarito the boxing lesson of a lifetime.:yep
so what did oscar accomplish to get a shot at floyd :huh it's all fabricated **** homie...you were talking earlier about chavez's career being full of bull****, well dont you think it's bull**** that oscar was champ at 154 i mean, you can't really feel a certain way but all of a sudden back up your fighters actions when it all comes down to the same ****.... the ppv numbers don't reflect the best of the best...they reflect what millions can do when it comes down to promotion....it's really really rare to run into die hard floyd and oscar fans that really wanna see them fight.....that fight was just a hollywood event, not a fight that proved something....
not true... as long as they give it their all, most fighters are glad in defeat and show no horrific emotions when losing their 0
