Chavez Sr: "Mexican Fans Will Support Manny Pacquiao"

As a Mexican-American, growing up in L.A. and follwoing the career of Oscar, I can personally attest to you that he's not liked amongst Mexicans and Mexican-Americans (save for the teenage girls who flock to his fights) because of stuff like this. Chavez fought everybody, showed no fear, and never let money get in the way of things. All Oscar cares about is money, his looks, and his fame. That's why most of my people hate the guy.

I don't hate the guy, but I think he took the easy route here instead of fighting Antonio Margarito.

 

The Golden Panties is exposed by someone who grew up in the same neighborhoods.

 

It is understandable for Mexican fans to feel bad of Oscar choosing Pac instead of Margo. I want the latter to fight DLH either. It's just almost everyone wants to be called up for the damn huge $$$, obviously. But seriously, if I to wish, I want Oscar to have a memorable farewell fight and not to Pac. But this happens, so let's just wait and watch it. :good

Read the full interview 2 days ago and Chavez seems more pissed that Oscar didn't fight his younger son than him fighting Pacquiao to be honest. He claims his son would destroy Oscar.

 

Negative. Chavez knows this. That's like throwin' a guppy into the shark tank. That spells curtains.

as a fan of chavez i can say that julio never was and will never be a classy guy. he is uncultured and quite petty and his opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.
by fighting pac, oscar is making it quite clear that he wants to be the pt barnum of boxing. competition has taken a backseat to spectacle. at least he is getting top dollar for his soul.

Alot of mexicans and mexican americans dont like oscar, but there are alot of folks that will remember pacman winning against morales, jmm, barrera etc.

I think it'll be split down the middle.

 

Or if they were millionaires, they could always hire High Powered Attorneys and photo shop "experts" to dispute the hard facts. :yep
