Why don't a lot of Mexican-Americans like Oscar?

 

Dude, it doesn't take an expert to see that those pics were photoshoped. And, have you see seen Oscars wife? Do you think she would still be with him if she thought for a second that he was a cheating cross dresser? I doubt it, but yeah, people will believe what they want to believe I guess, "the photos are real, THE PHOTOS ARE REAL" argggggg.

Hmmm, could you tell me about 2. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. why is that a reason for them not like Oscar? 4. I think Oscar is unique boxer, in that he is smart and articulate, and actually thinks about what he is saying in interview, he is thoughtful - whatever you think about the guy himself, this is good for boxing, having a load of mumbling idiots talking trash makes a lot of new fans tune out. Oscar is the reason why the most recent generation of fans got into boxing, so some credit should go to the high voice and the metrosexual image, for services to boxing.

Well, lets see if Oscar shows his face at a venue where Julio Jr. is fighting. He will get booed out of the building. James Toney is drugs cheat? not much of an athlete really. He might get a lot of respect from people who like trash talking badasses but is he really good for boxing? Oscar makes me laugh with his, like you said, "packs a wallop" stuff, I think its great.

I actually think JCC is right.
Mexican fans will turn on their fighters for showing weakness and thats what this fight is showing on Oscars part. We Mexicans are very very proud people and we are known for not backing out of a challenge. Oscar has Margarito there ready to fight him and he chose a guy who I think is actually less porpular than Margarito. Just look at their last PPVs.
I used to be and Oscar fan but come on thats not the Mexican way to go out fighting a guy who has a minimal chance of winning. You are supposed to fight a 50-50 fight. And if you lose who cares. What matters is that you got in the ring with the toughest fight you could get.

 

Oscar beat Vargas, out boxed him, out fought him, bigger heart, better stamina, AND Vargas was on sterioids, but still lost, which makes him an idiot really!
