yey Delahoya was still in amatuer here. He was only 17 at the time. this was like a year or 2 before the olympics. Someone posted this thread last week, great one though.
Pretty sure Mosley is there somewhere aswell. If not he sparred same man around the same time. The mexicans really make something of it dn't they? Look at the flick in a young dela hoyas punches, he had god given ability.
Yey and this was before Delahoya was even known. Chavez was the Man at this time and Delahoya was just considered some Hot shot wet behind the ears kid. I seen a sparring session with Chavez in the early 90s against a up and coming kid name Jose L Castillo and that sparring was more heated than this one. They were giving away autograph posters at the Hollywood Park Race track and it was also some big shabang about a couple thousand in the stands and a couple big Mariachi Bands. Chavez was like a god back then,kind of like how Pac is in the Phillipines.

He did very good definitly held his own, even got the better of many exchanges, but i dont think Chavez was in fighting shape yet since he was barely getting back to training. He lost to Randall a few months later.
