Not sure if anyone has been watching the 24/7 on Chavez Martinez? Whats with Sr, smoking cigarettes? I knew he had drug and alcohol problems when he retired, but how do these great fighters go from training and keeping their bodies in pristine condition, to doing drugs and starting smoking of all things? Its just crazy to see the guy smoking away. :patsch

Maybe he smoked in his prime? Nicotine helps you cut weight and suppress your appetite

Lionel Rose used to smoke a lot too.

What does it matter if Sr. wants to smoke now? I think his week long beer binges in his fighting prime was a much bigger deal. But the dude is retired now.

He's clean off of alcohol n drug addiction. a smoke here n there makes it easier for former addicts. not that its healthy but its a way to relax for a lot of people

Nicolino Locche smoked right throughout his career, some claim he even took crafty puffs between rounds.
