It was a great stoppage I thought. I am surprised there was so much controversy. The thought that Steele would let Taylor last at all so he could make the last round is not what Refs. do. If a fighter cannot continue, then one more punch is not necessary. He did his job. The fact that Taylor lost to Norris, and Espana and then Chavez again speaks for itself, although the decision to fight Norris was not smart. It took away his confidence, and then his next fight he was beaten up by Espana.
I honestly agree with everything you just said great points esp. what you said earlier about it being a bad idea to put him in the ring against Norris:-(. The man deserves respect and it's sad to see his career die out so young like with Cotto, Vargas, and now Jermain Taylor.
Dead on the money here with the stupid decision to put him in against Norris and you've made a bunch of great points in this thread. Good stuff man. :thumbsup
