Now I am about the biggest JC Superstar Jr. fan around. I am hardcore, I went to see this guy live in 2005, on the Manny Pac-Morales I undercard. And I saw him again live, last year. I have followed his career religiously, and think that he is about 1 year away from a Title Shot. I am also a critic of his poor conditioning, and his lack of defensive skills.

But this fight, Chavez-Vanda II is NOT PPV WORTHY. Bob Arum is as corrupt as GBP for ****ing the fans over the way Oscar did with JMM-Casa, and I will NOT pay for this ****. Anyone agree with me? I also am NOT paying for the December 6th Circus Act. If I get invited to someone's Fight Party, I will happily mooch, but I wont be purchasing it on PPV. :fire :dead :bart

We need to boycott these sorry, unworthy type matches, marketed as PPVs.

As long as people keep buying Bob Arum's **** cards, Bob Arum will keep making his **** cards PPVs instead of putting them on ESPN2, where they should be. Even if there are only 25,000 buys, they all stand to make significantly more money then if the fights were untelevised or on basic cable (ESPN2, Telefutura, etc.).

Ok, I'll be doing one of three things.

    1. If a cousin of mine can get us free Accomadations at the Mandalay Bay, and FREE Closed Circuit Tix, and I can get a deal on Priceline, so that I can get to Vegas with minimal cash expenditure, I'd consider being at that Freak Show in the flesh.

    2. But thats a small chance. Other friends will be having "Fight Parties" and I might stroll in on one of them, as Buffer is announcing the fighters.

    3. Catching it on some foreign stream.

I've never bought a Chavez Jr. PPV and won't anytime soon. Not going to support any ODLH fights, either. He needs to retire and get out of the way.

Very stupid move, who would pay to watch that crap especially when Mijares/Darchinyan will be on the same day?

Apparently there are some very confused mexican fans out there who read their guide and think Julio Cesar Chavez is making a comeback.

I think what Arum needs to do is offer a yearly service or something. If I felt confident he'd stage 6 or so minor league shows per year with a variety of good prospects and meaningful fights (at least at lower weights), I'd probably spend $100 on it. And then he could work out then the splits with the fighters, and still offer each fight at whatever price he wanted.

But $35 for each Chavez PPV is crazy.
