Opposition on fight night is a small part of what makes a fighter. I'm dead serious.

A known high quality fighter or an unknown and unproven power punch. It all washes out in the end. :yep

only money-wise, from a boxing point of view Chavez-Alvarez would be much closer, but just as equally exciting as pot head getting a beatdown from GG

exactly, most on here go strictly off resumes. its obvious they cant determine a fighters skill level by watching them compete.

ggg would be very hazardes to jr long term health. while canelo vs a 190lb jr would be an absolute war

How can you make a mythical match-up like this though when one hasnt committed to make the move to 160 and the other has to starve himself to make 168.

There's 14lbs between them, 2 weight classes, wheres GGG has shown time and time again that 159 is an easy weight for him and that his power/speed/footwork is such that a move N or S would not hider his performance.

I think Golovkin is slightly overrated he didn't officially KO Stevens or Rosado, he tends to wear opponents down with accumulation of punches, he's not a 1 punch KO artist regardless of what most people think.
Chavez ability to absorb punishment and being far more heavy-handed than most of GGG's opponents, mixed with the slight improvement in slipping punches he showed in the Vera fight would make the fight very interesting, and a lot closer than people think would think.

That being said, either one of them would easily destroy Canelo brutally.
I'm a fan of Angulo, fun fighter to watch, he was weight drained and wartorn by the Kirkland and Lara fights going into the Canelo fight, and Canelo could not knock him down or KO him.
Canelo couldn't knock down old Mosley or Mayweather and Trout won the round that he was dropped in.

Canelo would be massacred by GGG and Chavez, both way too big in size and punching power, had Angulo not been weight drained he would have had a chance at walking Canelo down and possibly KOing him. Canelo has terrible stamina from the 6th round on,that would be disastrous against either one of them.
