Gbp doesnt give a **** about Lara, Scaefer said as much. Arum stuck his prized fighter Chavez in with huge favorite, Ldb promoted Martinez and was willing to throw him in vs K2s Ggg

But Top Rank gave a **** about Martirosyan? It certainly didn't show in their promotion of him, though I suppose they apparently cared enough not to cede one inch of control to GBP for one of his fights.

Both Chavez fights were primarily a product of his own demands, not a result of any desire to make good fights with other promoters. Huge moneymaker Canelo was set to be placed in the ring with third party promoted Williams at the same time of Chavez-Martinez as well.

There ya go, both sides will stick guys they dont give a **** about with the other party.

Pretty sure Pwill was with Haymon, and probably a major underdog coming off brutal losses to Lara and Sergio, thought to be done. No comparison with no hoper Chavez going up vs p4p Sergio

From what I've heard, Haymon advised Chavez to avoid taking the GGG fight, even if the fight is offered without a TR extension, and just finish out with TR in easy-mode and then get onboard with him to grow Chavez' career.

Haymon is not stupid, it makes the most career sense for Chavez and his earnings potential. So I believe Chavez is listening to Haymon and, in fact, does NOT want the fight now. Besides, why would Haymon want to pay for damaged goods?

Except Top Rank wouldn't even allow Lara-Martirosyan 2, despite not appearing to give a **** about Vanes during the entirety of his time with them. And both companies go as insular as possible when they have the resources. Top Rank lacks them so they're working with others more, but that's not a product of wanting to make good fights or a concern for the good of the sport. It was just over 15 months ago when we were treated to "Mares has to wait out his contract if he wants anything with Donaire."

The Haymon/GBP alliance wasn't as solidified then as now, and Goossen was definitely going to be part of the promotion. And I'm pretty sure a fair number of people thought Williams' workrate would spell doom for the spotty Alvarez at that point in time.

Indeed. It's an alarming trend, isn't it?

well he did admit during a federal trial to bribing sanctioning bodies, o and there is the whole robbing blind of an illiterate Yori Boy Campas, the poor guy was defrauded of hundreds of thousands of dollars, O then there is the raiding of his offices where the FBI had his staff on tape laughing and doing commentary on fixed fights. Yeah, he isn't a piece of **** or anything. :patsch

30 years ago he bribed the IBF to rank an unranked fighter so to get him a title shot. now they just hand out title fights to unranked
the FBI raided his offices and they found NOTHING.....
    yory boy campas? do tell.....
so in 40 plus year of promoting, he basically bribed the IBF to get his guy rated, as to get him a title shot.... WOW....send him to the wolves....40 years thats it?? :rofl

I doubt this is going to happen, I don't think HBO wants to do business with Al Haymon.

not finding anything and not filing charges are two different things. Bob arum fired one of his matchmakers that he basically threw under the bus and accused him of doing the fixing.

"he basically bribed the IBF to get his guy rated"

yes, let's try to justify him bribing someone to manipulate rankings. if he had his guy ranked higher guess what that did to another boxer? it pushed said boxer down the rankings and cost him a title shot. let's blindly defend him on this.

and there is the time when the nevada athletic commission fined him for........yup bribing. So he was caught once, and admitted to the other. once is a coincidence two is a trend.

feel free to look up the yori boy case on your own, that is quite a long read.
